Karol holds a Master’s degree from Comenius University in Bratislava with a focus on financial management. He started his career at KPMG in 2011 while still studying at university as an assistant in the Tax Advisory Department and later in the Transaction Advisory Department. After graduation, he joined KPMG full-time. For four years he worked as an analyst in the transaction advisory department, specializing in company valuations, financial modeling and M&A projects. Subsequently, he worked directly with shareholders at Matador Group for 2 years, where he assisted in key M&A and strategic projects. He was responsible for the regular valuation of companies in the Group’s portfolio for strategic and performance management purposes. After leaving Matador, he worked for 2 years in Austria as a manager in a Big4 company. In February 2020 he returned to KPMG in Slovakia and currently holds the position of Director and leads the Valuation and Financial Modelling Department. In addition to his native Slovak, he speaks English and German. Karol is a member of ACCA and holds the prestigious MRCIS title. Since 2022, he has been registered in the list of experts in Economics and Management maintained by the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic.
