KPMG ESG Certification – Reporting sustainability information: Circular economy
The next KPMG ESG certification course is designed to help you understand the principles and importance of the circular economy in the context of sustainable corporate strategy. After the course, we offer the opportunity to take an online test, based on which you will receive a KPMG ESG certificate – Circular Economy.
The course focuses on providing a comprehensive theoretical and practical overview of the circular economy. We will also explain in detail the ESRS E5 Resource Use and Circular Economy reporting standard. You will acquire the knowledge necessary to successfully implement the principles of the circular economy into your business strategies.
The circular economy is becoming an important part of corporate strategies and ESRS requirements. In this Module 6, you will understand its key principles, its impact on business, and how to integrate it into your processes. You will also gain an overview of how to measure circularity in a practical and effective way
Model 6: Circular Economy
We will focus primarily on:
– The basics of the circular economy – definition, key principles, and differences from the linear model.
– Current significance and trends – why circularity is important in today’s context.
– Reporting requirements – an overview of relevant standards with a focus on ESRS E5 – Resource Use and the Circular Economy.
– Circular business models – basic types, integration into corporate strategy, and real-world examples.
– Indicators and monitoring – key indicators of circularity levels and methods for evaluating them.
After completing the training, you will know:
– what information ESRS E5 – Resource Use and Circular Economy requires,
– which indicators are crucial for tracking circularity and how to work with them,
– how to apply the principles of the circular economy when making decisions in your organization.
After completing Modules 1, 3, 5–10, you have the option to take an online test; upon passing, you will receive a KPMG ESG Certificate for that module. For Modules 2 and 4, we award a KPMG ESG Certificate for that module simply for participating in the training.
