Training content
Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) – We will introduce you to who the reporting requirements currently apply to. We will look together at the Omnibus initiative and its timeline.
European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) – We will go through the current requirements of each standard – basic principles and general disclosures and disclosures by each of the supporting themes (environmental, social and governance criteria). We will also explain what the principle of double materiality means and what it will mean for your company. We will also outline the changes that come with the revision of the ESRS standards.
The EU Taxonomy – We will discuss how to identify eligible activities in your company and then how to assess whether they can be considered sustainable in accordance with the requirements of the taxonomy (technical review criteria for significant contribution, assessment of the rule not to significantly undermine the remaining environmental objectives, and how to assess the requirement to comply with minimum social safeguards). We will explain how to prepare disclosures, highlight the most common mistakes we have encountered and present examples of good practice.
Sector benchmarking – We’ll look at where to look for examples of good practice.
You will know the answers to the following questions when you have completed the training:
- Which companies are affected by the new requirements and what are the exceptions?
- What is the relationship between the EU taxonomy and the CSRD?
- How to prepare for reporting – where to start and what are best practices?
- What data will need to be collected?
- Is it possible to prepare by voluntary reporting e.g. under the VSME?
- Is there sector benchmarking?
