A practical perspective on information reporting in the area of Water, Water Resources and Biodiversity Protection.
The course focuses on a legislative and practical perspective on the protection of natural resources and biodiversity, with an emphasis on the ESRS E3 Water and Marine Resources and ESRS E4 Biodiversity and Ecosystems reporting standards and their application to green and blue infrastructure. After the training, we offer you to take an online test to earn the KPMG ESG Certificate - Protection of Water, Aquatic Resources and Biodiversity.
Training content:
Introduction to ESG reporting in the context of natural resources
- The importance of ESG in the protection and use of water resources and biodiversity
- Linkage to ESRS E2, ESRS E3 and ESRS E4 reporting standards, EU Taxonomy
Legislative framework and practical aspects
- Insight into legislation on the protection and use of water resources and on pollution of other natural components (air, soil)
Water footprint and its significance
- Water footprint analysis and its relevance in the context of ESG reporting (link to ESRS data points)
- Practical examples and applications in the field of water resources
Use and sustainable management of water resources
- Insights on water resource efficiency and new legislative requirements for stormwater use
- Opportunities for blue infrastructure applications
Importance of biodiversity and ecosystems
- Legislative and practical aspects of biodiversity conservation
- What green infrastructure means and why the topic of blue and green infrastructure needs to be combined
- Examples and benefits of biodiversity in practice
