Are you responsible for the budget for your department and always hesitant about how to allocate costs to different months? Do you attend meetings where company results are presented but don't always understand the numbers presented well?

Who is the training for?

The Finance for Non-Finance training is for anyone who does not work directly with finance but would like to gain more confidence in the subject. These are professionals working in legal, production, logistics, human resources or finance with no previous experience. Understanding the basic principles of double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements will help them in their work, decision-making, budgeting and potentially in their future career progression.

What do we offer?

A half-day training course focusing on the basic principles of double-entry bookkeeping and the reporting of financial information on the balance sheet and income statement. The theory is explained using examples from practice.

The training is practical and provides space for questions and discussion.

Content of the training

– Introduction to financial accounting,
– differences between financial and management accounting,
– basic principles of double-entry bookkeeping,
– the accruals principle,
– depreciation of tangible fixed assets,
– operating and capital expenditure,
– doubtful and bad debts,
– valuation of inventories,
– provisioning,
– practical examples.
