Climate risks and opportunities. Transformation plan, ESG strategy, and data management
In this part of the certification, you will gain an overview of climate risks, their modeling, and their impact on corporate decision-making, along with how to use this knowledge to create a sustainable business model and transformation plan. You will understand how climate factors influence an organization's strategy, investments, and long-term resilience.
At the same time, you will learn a systematic approach to building an ESG strategy – from identifying priorities and selecting KPIs to working with data, digitizing processes, and preparing a realistic transformation plan. The result will be the ability to link climate risks, strategic goals, and necessary steps into a single functional framework.
Module 7 provides a practical overview of climate risks, their modeling, and decarbonization—with clear links to the requirements of ESRS E1 (Climate Change) and ESRS E2 (Pollution). You will also understand how climate risks affect strategies, investments, and sustainability management in organizations. The course was developed in collaboration with Jakub Hrbáň, a long-time expert on climate risks.
Module 8 will show you how to create and implement an ESG strategy, set up a sustainable business model, and work with data so that your organization can track its progress and plan its transformation effectively.
